MPAA: The Tenth Time's The Charm

And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free...to take children to see simulated puppet sex.

Kudos to the MPAA censors--now sitting in their collective bed smoking a Marlboro Light--who made the producers of Team America World Police come ten times

to show them different versions of their movie's simulated puppet sex scene. Finally, the MPAA determined it was worthy of America's youth and gave it a coveted R-rating.

But that's not all. As The Hollywood Reporter reports, the rating will include a very special endorsement from the SPS experts, praising the "graphic, crude and sexual humor, violent images and strong language all involving puppets."

Since 2001 here at greg.org, I've been blogging about the creative process—my own and those of people who interest me. That mostly involves filmmaking, art, writing, research, and the making thereof.

Many thanks to the Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Program for supporting greg.org that time.
