I'm inordinately pleased with this, especially the TION TOIN. So I'm now going to search around for some other stellar quotes from Christopher Wool collectors which can become paintings. Dan's a genius for this kind of stuff, though, he'll be hard to beat.
UPDATE: A few more after the jump. It feels like they're just scratching the surface. It's like how there are some people who totally should have a Warhol portrait, there are quotes that should really be a Wool painting. It really just should happen.

We start with the Ganeks who, at the moment of the opening of Wool's show at the Guggenheim, are really the central Wool collectors around whom the rest spiral. David's a trustee of the Guggenheim, and rather than loan the archetypal Apocalypse Now, he's selling it at Christie's. Which, it is entirely do-able to have a work sell while on loan to a museum. To let it pop out for a couple of days for the sale. And to request that the buyer agree to let it return to its central place. This is a thing that happens. Except in this case, where it goes on its own world tour at Frieze Week, and whatever. There's more going on here we obviously don't know, so don't get me started. To the paintings:

Some of these more open ones have kind of a Rirkrit vibe going. But with the right facture and heft, I think they'd look killer in your office.
